Dentistry for the whole family

Our family dentist office will see your children starting at age 1.  Our dentists and hygenists will screen for any developmental abnormalities, check their erupting teeth for cavities, and record their arch development.  At age 3, we will clean their teeth, examine their teeth and gums, check development and polish their teeth.  At our Indianapolis location dentist offce we see every member of the family including those with special needs.

Laughing Gas/Nitrous Oxide

If you are a little nervous about your dental visit, this is a safe and easy way to make you relax.  At our dentist office use laughing gas/nitrous oxide on kids as well as adults.  Nitrous Oxide is a mixture of gases that you breathe in through a nose piece.  It will make you feel sleepy but will not put you asleep.  When our dentists and hygenists are finished, it is turned off and you feel back to normal again.  You are ready to drive home.

Smile Makeovers

Dr. David Wolf DDS will take a look at a variety of different procedures to improve your smile which includes teeth bonding, dental crowns and dental veneers. To view photos of some of our smile makeovers click here.

Porcelain Veneers

A porcelain veneer is a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface, either to improve the aesthetics of a tooth, or to protect a damaged tooth surface. At our dentist office there are two main types of veneers, or two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer, composite and porcelain. Below you find more details about these types of veneers:

  • A composite veneer may be directly placed (built-up in the mouth), or indirectly fabricated by a dental technician in a dental laboratory, and later bonded to the tooth, typically using a resin cement such as Panavia
  • In contrast, a porcelain veneer may only be indirectly fabricated.

Invisalign

Dental Implants

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is used in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth.

Sedation Dentistry

Our family dentist office provides conscious oral sedation.  By taking the appropriate medication orally, you can “sleep” through your dental appointment without any memory of the sounds, tastes, or smells associated with your dental treatment.  This allows for many procedures to be done at one time instead of several visits , saving time for busy adults. Sedation dentistry makes your dental visit a wonderful experience even for the most apprehensive patients.

Orthodontics

Dr. Wolf treats dental malocclusions in this dentist office with the use of braces and sometimes appliances.  You can choose clear brackets or the traditional metal brackets.  Indy's Family Dentist also has the new Innovation brackets that have no elastic ties.  An Orthodontic consultation is needed to see what is best for you.

Teeth Whitening

Dr. Wolf uses an at-home tooth whitening bleaching system that uses custom made bleaching trays.  Bleach is placed in the trays and worn 30 minutes to 2 hours a day for 5 – 7 days.  This teeth whitening process is a permanent change that will last for years.

Emergency Dental Services

If your are looking for an emergency dentisti in Indianapolis, our dentists and hygenists reserve time each day to see emergency dental patients.  Call our office early in the day to be seen the same day.  For patients of record, we have a dentist on call 24/7.

Oral Surgery

Oral Surgery is the diagnosis and surgical and adjunct treatment of diseases and defects of the mouth and dental structures. Although Dr. Wolf does perform oral surgery it is on a patient by patient decision.

Custom Dentures

Custom dentures are manufactured by first producing denture bases in one of a plurality of standard sizes each having sockets therein for receiving an array of artificial teeth. Next, an array of artificial teeth removably coupled together by means of a U-shaped appliance which maintains the occlusal aspects of the teeth is positioned in the sockets. Such denture bases which may be wax, uncured synthetic resin or a cured synthetic resin are then shipped and inventoried by a dentist. To fit a particular oral cavity, the dentist first makes an impression of the oral cavity and from that impression upper and lower models are casted. The dentist then selects a denture base having the artificial teeth positioned thereon in one of the standard sizes which most closely accommodates the models. The denture bases are then conformed to the surface contours of the models and the prosthetic teeth are secured in the sockets.

Root Canals

Root Canals

A Root Canal is a dental procedure to fix a tooth by removing the pulp chamber of the tooth and filling it with a suitable filling material. A root canal is usually performed when the tooth cannot be filled or restored any other way because the decay has reached the nerve of the tooth or the tooth has become infected.
